Je viens de recevoir une lettre d'Anthony qui complète un peu la précédente.
Anthony me dit que Lionel Froissart aurait dû l'interviewer au lieu de faire un roman avec son histoire (un chapitre du livre « les boxeurs finissent mal… en général » est consacré à Anthony). Il me demande de le contacter pour essayer d'obtenir une interview. (ce que j'ai fait : voir ICI)
Anthony aussi m'explique que le fils de son ancien entraîneur avait dit vouloir créer une association pour l'aider (on trouve sur le net un article parlant de cela : The comback Kid – 13-19 avril 2006 in Philadelphia Citypaper) mais en réalité il n'a jamais rien fait.
Comme moi, Lionel Froissart avait trouvé cela très beau et en fait mention dans son roman… Hélas la réalité est bien plus rude : ce n'est pas une belle histoire !
Anthony dit aussi que la personne qui s'occupe d'Anthony-Fletcher.com n'a plus assez de temps libre et il cherche donc une solution.
J'ai demandé à Anthony s'il connaissait Mumia abu Jamal et Jimmy Dennis (dont je vous parle ICI) qui sont tout les deux dans le même pénitencier.
Voici sa réponse :
« Oui, je connais les 2, mais Mumia est dans un autre bâtiment. Il a tellement de visites du monde entier que les gardiens ne voulaient plus a chaque instant l'emmener dans la salle des visites située dans un autre bâtiment, un peu plus loin… alors ils ont mis Mumia juste à coté de la salle des visites ! »

Voici sa réponse concernant Jimmy Dennis :
« Jimmy Dennis est un de mes meilleurs amis, il est au dessus de moi, nous sommes venus d'une autre prison ensemble ici en 1995, nous avons passé 11 mois ensemble à la prison de Camp Hill. Comment connais tu ces deux là ?? »
Anthony me raconte qu'il n'a plus ni télévision ni radio car l'hors de son 2ème procès les gardiens lui ont pris et à son retour ils lui ont dit qu'elles étaient cassées !
Alors maintenant il ne veux plus de télé ni de radio mais lorsqu'il y a du sport à la télévision son compagnon de la cellule d'en face installe sa télévision sur la table et Anthony peux la voir par la porte de sa cellule.
A la question concernant les autres livres qu'il pourrait lire Anthony dit qu'il n'y arrive pas. Il ne veux pas lire autre choses que le journal et des livres de droit. Il ne peux pas se concentrer sur des romans alors qu'il lutte sans cesse pour sa liberté.
Il parle ensuite un peu de sa vie d'avant lorsqu'il était un célèbre boxeur adulé par beaucoup de femmes (mais là, chut … c'est entre nous).
Et enfin il revient sur les groupes américains qui essayent d'innocenter des gens du couloir de la mort … et là il s'emporte un peu (dommage je ne comprend pas tout !!) . Il a contacté plusieurs groupes mais chaque fois on lui réponds que la recherche d'innocence se fait par l'ADN : Or l'affaire d'Anthony ne repose pas sur des preuves ADN.
Il est très remonté contre eux !!!
Sinon il prévoit des actions à mettre en place grâce à sa fille et il me sollicite pour l'aider… je vais bien sûre voir ce que je peux faire. Si cela aboutit je vous en parlerais bien sûr !

I have just received Anthony's letter which completes a little the previous one.
Anthony says to me that Lionel Froissart would have owed the interviewer instead of making a novel with his story (a chapter of the book " the boxers finish badly generally " is dedicated to Anthony). He asks me to contact him to try to obtain an interview. (What I made: see HERE) Anthony also explains me that the son of his former trainer had told to want to create an association to help him (On Internet, we find an article speaking about it: The comback Kid - April 13-19th, 2006 in Philadelphia Citypaper) but really he made nothing.
As I, Lionel Froissart had found it very beautiful and mentions it in his novel … Regrettably the reality is rougher: it is not a beautiful story!
Anthony also says that the person who takes charge of Anthony-Fletcher.com has no more enough spare time and he thus looks for a solution.
I asked Anthony if he knew Mumia abu Jamal and Jimmy Dennis (Jimmy's case HERE) who are in the same penitentiary.
Here is his answer:
" Yes, I know them both, but Mumia isover in another building from because he gets many visits from over the world. The guards do not whish to continue to walk from way overhere many time's aweek to take him on a visit, so they just moved him over by the visit room right next door. "

Here is his answer concerning Jimmy Dennis:
"Jimmy Dennis is one of my best friend, he is over to top me, we came here together from another jail in 95 after we spent 11 month together at Camp Hill jail, how do you know this two? " Anthony tells me that he has more neither television nor radio because outside his 2nd trial the guards set him and in his return they said to him that they were broken!
Then now he want no more TV or of radio but when there is of the sport on the television his companion of the opposite cell install his television on the table and Anthony can see it by the door of its cell.
In the question concerning the other books that he could read said Anthony that he does not arrive there. He do not want to read other things that the newspaper and law books. He do not can concentrate on novels while he fights ceaselessly for his freedom.
He speaks then about a little of his passed life when he was a famous boxer adulated by many women (but there fell it is between us).
And finally he returns on the American groups which try to acquit people of the death row and there he becomes enraged little (damage I does not understand everything!!). He contacted several groups but every time one answer him that the research for innocence is made by the DNA: Anthony's case does not base on DNA proofs.

Otherwise he plans actions to be set up thanks to his daughter and he seeks me to help him. I am well safe to see what I can make. If it succeeds I would speak to you about it naturally!
